Final Assessment: Mock Teaching Practice
Task: Record a 10-minute mock lesson segment teaching a single language point (grammar, vocabulary, or function) to a small group (real learners or simulated with friends/family/colleagues). Submission: Video upload + a one-page lesson plan extract covering the main aim, MFP analysis of the target language, and the stage(s) being demonstrated. Feedback: Personalized written or live feedback focused on CELTA-style criteria: clarity of aims, staging, instruction-giving, and student talk time vs. teacher talk time. Outcome: Certificate of Completion, plus an honest readiness note — whether the candidate looks ready to apply for CELTA now, or would benefit from more preparation time.
